Colangelo Synergy Marketing, mid-size integrated marketing agency in Darien, CT (55 min. from NYC) is landing accounts because we continue to stun clients with smart, spot-on ideas. Need to expand our staff of talented creative people. We're looking for a Sr. Art Director who can meet and exceed client expectations and bring to the table a wealth of technical expertise and creative genius with regard to the following:

Responsibilities:

?Adhere to Agency Creative Process; participate with the ACD in strategically grounded promotional programming ideation; assist in managing the day-to-day quality of the team?s work.

?Possess the ability to expertly manage and directly contribute to the creative process from conception through mechanical production with strict attention to details, financial parameters and deadlines.

?Develop a thorough understanding of the client?s promotional objectives as well as their overall business objectives; assess creative briefs to ensure they contain all pertinent information.

?Collaborate with copywriters to develop creative communications for advertising and promotional materials.

?Create/develop relationships with clients at all levels.

?Possess competent presentation skills, plus the ability to sell creative concepts both internally and externally to clients.

?Develop the skills of Art Directors and JAD?s by supervising and assisting in their education.

?Source out/manage freelance personnel (illustrators, digital artists, photographers, etc.) and aid in the development of estimates and timelines.

?Review and sign-off on disked mechanicals prior to release.

?Encourage a spirit of teamwork between creative and account groups.

Requirements:

?Proficient skills in Quark, Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as all facets of digital mechanical production, printing processes, comp building and traditional board presentations.

?Expertise in supervising photo sessions, illustration and art procurement.

Must have a demonstrative portfolio of award-winning creative work.
