Description:

HSN.com is a top 30 Ecommerce Retailer. We are looking for an innovative, deeply experienced Creative Director, to help re-imagine the HSN.com shopping experience. The Creative Director will be tasked with exploring the intersection between media, shopping, and entertainment. Their challenge will be to leverage next-generation presentation technologies like Flash, AJAX, DHTML, and Video to create a completely new kind of Ecommerce website. The Creative Director will have full management responsibility for all in-house and outsourced design resources and given wide latitude to experiment with the boundaries of Ecommerce.



Responsibilities:

Leading the creative vision for the website and online marketing programs
Partnering with the Executive Team to develop site strategy and direction
Creating on-brand, on-strategy, compelling creative work
Building an A+ team of in-house web designers
Providing mentoring and training to the in-house team
Establishing creative processes that lead to consistent, outstanding, project execution
Driving a user-centered, solution oriented, design ethic
Pushing the “experience envelope” using the latest web 2.0 advancements and technologies like, Flash, AJAX, DHTML, and Video
Closely partnering with all parts of the business (Producers, PMs, Marketing, etc.)
Hiring and managing outside creative resources, i.e. art directors, animators, photographers, Flash designers/developers, etc.

Requirements:

Minimum 7 - 10 years of web design experience (Ecommerce required)
Minimum 5 years in a management position
Strong, clear, creative vision
Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with executive level staff
Proven track record managing teams that create high traffic websites
Excellent attention to detail, process, and organization.
Expert in information architecture and user-centered design employing emerging multimedia technologies like, Flash, AJAX, DHTML, and Video
Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and portfolio with current samples
