Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience designing covers and full jacket mechanicals. Must be able traffic and manage jacket mechanicals and communicate efficiently with production to maintain work schedules. A basic understanding of production processes a must.

This candidate will work directly with the art director to conceptualize ideas. Candidate must be flexible with their designs and must be willing to work with the marketing department to achieve desired results. Must be able traffic and manage jacket mechanicals and communicate efficiently with production to maintain work. Additionally, candidate must:

Keep superiors constantly aware of changes either in content or design that affect scope, schedule or look of project

Stay up to date with new design solutions and creative approaches.

Posses time management skills time, to keep projects on schedule.

Posses good communication and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines

Knowledge & Experience

Minimum of 3 years cover design experience.

Must be Proficient in Macintosh OSX, QuarkXpress, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Acrobat, and Acrobat Distiller.

A basic understanding of production processes a must.
